Avatars with Initials and Random Colors

Feature Request

Replace the default grey person icon with avatars that display random background colors and the user’s initials when a profile image hasn’t been set. This would help distinguish users by their initials, making it easier to identify them while waiting for them to upload a profile photo.

Hi all — good news, this is now live. Default avatars show user initials with random colors when no profile photo is set, so it's easy to distinguish users at a glance. Thanks for the patience — closing this one out.
